Australia's Jessica Fox, Tokyo C1 Olympic Champion, resurrected her World Championship campaign with a gold medal in the extreme slalom discipline overnight in Bratislava.
Set to make its Olympic debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, extreme slalom rounded out the World Championships program and saw Fox come out on top.

"It wasn't my weekend this weekend in either the kayak or the canoe, so I just wanted to have fun in the extreme and it felt great to be out there," Fox said.
"It was exhausting, mentally as well, because I had good runs and it just comes down to centimetres and a tiny bit of precision, and it's a huge penalty and you're out.
"I've had an amazing season, and this [gold medal] is a great way to finish."
Extreme canoe slalom will make its Olympic debut in Paris in 2024. Extreme slalom is a combination of all canoeing's white water disciplines, with competitors racing in identical plastic creek boats.
The excitement begins from the very start, with four competitors sliding off a ramp more than two metres above the water and splashing onto the course as one.
Fellow Aussie paddler, and Jess's younger sister, Noemie Fox placed 6th in the Women's C1 World Championship final, a personal best result for the 24-year-old. She also placed 6th in the extreme slalom event.
Noemie also qualified for the K1 semi-final, placing 16th. Dual Olympian Lucien Delfour qualified for the Men's K1 semi-final. placing 15th.
