Exclusive dinner proves Labor still has no plan

Rebecca White, Dean Winter, and Labor have simply run out of ideas, so in desperation, they will be asking attendees for some at a fundraising dinner tonight.

The invitation to tonight’s ‘exclusive dinner’ promises, at $550 per head, attendees can have “…input into Labor’s policy focus and direction.”

This just goes to show how dire things have become inside Ms White’s

publicly divided caucus.

It’s a pity Ms White and Mr Winter have no idea about what’s going on in my electorate of Clark. If they did they would already know that we need to keep supporting our local businesses and families as we move closer to safely re-opening our borders on 15 December, continue encouraging locals to get their COVID-19 vaccinations, and support more local employment opportunities for our community.

That’s why our majority Liberal Government has invested strongly in our Jobs Hubs program across Tasmania, including the highly successful Jobs Hub at Glenorchy of which I am a strong supporter.

The Hub, which I officially opened in August and is administered by STEPS Employment Services, has established partnerships with local employers, schools, and organisations, and has already helped more than 50 people in my local community to get jobs, and hundreds more are receiving support and training to help them on their pathway into work.

When she became the Leader again after Mr O’Byrne resigned, Ms White said she would change things up in the Labor Party.

This ‘EOI for ideas’ dinner proves that it’s just the same old Labor - still out of touch with Tasmanians, still no vision, no policies, and no plan for Tasmania.
