New Car Parking On The Way For Bendigo Line Passengers

The Andrews Labor Government is delivering much needed new and upgraded car parking at three stations on the Bendigo line to make it easier for more people to catch the train.

The Gisborne Station car parking area will be upgraded and new car parking will be built at Kyneton and Riddells Creek stations.

The projects will also deliver additional

accessible car parks, bicycle parking and increased safety and security with CCTV and lighting covering the car parks.

Concept designs for the projects have been developed and local residents are now being asked to have their say on the plans by completing an online survey on the Engage Victoria Platform, which is open until 5pm on 31 March 2021.

The new and upgraded car parking is being delivered by VicTrack through the Labor Government’s Car Parks for Commuters program, which is building and upgrading car parks at stations to make it easier to catch the train.

The Car Parks for Commuters program is helping to deliver the Government’s commitment of 11,000 new and upgraded car parks at train stations across metropolitan and regional Victoria - on top of the almost 10,000 new and upgraded car parks delivered between 2014 and 2018.

The 11,000 new and upgraded car parks will free up local streets, make it easier to catch the train, improve safety, and generate jobs across the state.
