Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women 2021

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is committed to creating a more inclusive Tasmania that empowers and enables women and girls to fully participate in our economic, social, political and community life.

The Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women is a

significant recognition of the dedication, commitment, and hard work of many Tasmanian women.

In 2021, 18 women and three women’s organisations are inducted onto the Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women.

Some of the inductees are leaders in their chosen careers, some have achieved international recognition whilst others are quiet achievers and volunteers who have made a significant contribution to their communities in Tasmania.

The Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women started in 2005 to recognise women who have made a significant contribution to Tasmania, or nationally or internationally. Induction ceremonies are held biannually.

The Honour Roll preserves the stories of women and women’s organisations, ensuring their achievements are not forgotten, and to inspire future generations.

It includes women from all walks of life, including community service, humanitarian pursuits, business, science and technology, the arts, sports, education, medicine and the environment.

I would like to congratulate the 2021 inductees for all their hard work and dedication which will no doubt inspire other women and girls to make a significant contribution locally, nationally and internationally.

The public is invited to nominate women or women’s organisations for the Honour Roll. Nominations are assessed by a panel of independent judges. It’s important to note, this independent judging panel, is completely at arm’s length from Government.
