New Scoreboard Puts Runs On The Board At Bentleigh

The Andrews Labor Government’s Local Sports Grants initiative is backing Bentleigh Cricket Club, Bentleigh Football Netball Club and Bentleigh Junior Football Club with a new scoreboard at Bentleigh Recreation Reserve.

Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence joined club members to officially launch the new electronic scoreboard, made possible by a $60,000 investment from the Labor Government.

The Bentleigh Cricket Club and the Bentleigh Football Netball Club have more than 650 men, women, boys and girls representing the community, who depend on the scoreboard to get the latest from the big games.

The new LED scoreboard adds a whole new dimension to the player and fan experience at the ground, helping officials, players and spectators keep track of the game.

From new sports pavilions to scoreboards, investments like these provide high-quality and accessible facilities that allow Victorians to reap the benefits of sport and active recreation participation.

Investments like these are also about creating jobs, stimulating local economies and fast-tracking community recovery by improving the health, wellbeing, and social outcomes for Victorian communities.

The Andrews Labor Government has invested more than $1.05 billion in community sport and active recreation infrastructure since 2014.
