The latest Quarterly Housing Report released today shows Tasmanian Government is delivering more homes for Tasmanians who need them and working every day to help Tasmanians with their housing needs.
The Report shows that during the quarter, 101 additional new units of accommodation were added to the portfolio of long-term housing for people on the social housing register.
A further 22 households on the register were assisted
At the end of December 2020, the Government’s Affordable Housing Strategy had delivered a total of 1 604 new homes, blocks of land and new places in supported accommodation and homeless services.
We had also helped an additional 962 households into affordable homes through a range of other initiatives, including HomeShare.
Every Tasmanian needs a roof over their head and we are delivering more homes than ever before for Tasmanians who need them.
The Tasmanian Liberal Government’s Housing Plan delivers more houses for more Tasmanians, including through a record $300 million investment into housing and homelessness initiatives that will deliver more than 1500 additional homes for social housing by the end of June 2023, including more than 400 in the next 12 months.
We will continue to deliver our plan by helping Tasmanians who need it most as we rebuild a stronger Tasmania.
